if you remove the three sentences about rosie cotton from the books and the six frames she gets in the movies, there is zero evidence in the lord of the rings that frodo and sam aren’t gay as hell. there are certain fandoms where you have to really look for proof that two characters are gay as fuck, but the lord of the rings is one of those things where you have to look for proof that they aren’t because otherwise it’s just a gay love story about two hobbits and a ring. a wedding ring. they’re in love.
