
John Darnielle: I hate to say this, because, I don't want to wish death on anybody, but.. it's wonderful when your abuser dies. It's wonderful. It's like nothing in the world. It's like, you are free. There's a feeling that you will never be free of what you were. You know, there's that. But there is this, you know, even though my stepfather was helpless at the end of his life, but to know that the person who used to hurt you no longer can. It's very, very, very deep. It's unbelievable.

so i was watching the news and this 2nd grader wrote this to the president, vice president, and a congressman. biden was the only one to respond yet.
i’m looking into a buying a camera that costs $450 and i just got really anxious and my heart sank and i thought “do you know how many pens i could buy for $450” but i don’t even care that much about pens. imagine 450 worth of really pretty pens though. i’m getting sweaty. this is a big decision guys.
“What was the happiest moment of your life?”
“Probably when I was dreaming.”
